Honda is recalling 3,940 Accords and Civics because of problems with the driver’s side air bag, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) . Model year 2001 vehicles are affected.
The air bag inflator could produce excessive pressure and rupture, sending metal fragments through the airbag and possibly impacting the driver and passengers, NHTSA said.
