Subaru Tribeca Recall

by on December 15, 2008

Subaru is recalling more than 5,000 of its Tribeca SUVs because of a possible problem with the electronic stability control sensor, according to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration.  This sensor helps the driver maintain control of the vehicle during hard braking, sudden turns or other quick maneuvers.

The sensor, known as the Vehicle Dynamic Control G-Sensor, was installed backwards in 5,130 2008-2009 Tribecas.  Subaru will reinstall and reprogram the sensor.
