BMW Recall – Brakes

BMW is recalling model year 2009 X5 and X6 vehicles because the brakes may fail, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).  The rear disk brakes on these vehicles may not have been manufactured according to specifications, and as a result, the vehicles could lose braking power, NHTSA said. BMW Recall – Safety Restraint System

BMW is recalling model year 2008 1 Series and 3 Series vehicles because of problems with the safety restraint systems.  The side airbags and the seat belt tensioners may not deploy, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).  This is because incorrect crimp connectors may have been used on the side air bag and belt tensioner wiring, NHTSA said.
