Congratulations to the Park View All-Stars, who beat Taoyuan, Taiwan 6-3 to win the 2009 Little League World Series.

With this victory, Park View secured the fifth straight Little League championship for the United States, and are the fourth team from San Diego County to play in the Little League World Series championship game.

Many events have been scheduled for the All-Stars, including a parade and rally in Chula Vista on Friday, September 4.  The rally begins at 6 pm at Memorial Park and Bowl, 373 Park Way, Chula Vista.

On September 20, the team will be honored at the Chargers home opener against the Baltimore Ravens, and the Padres will honor the world champions before a home game in October.
