September 28, 2009 – A Vista teenager fell out of his car and was killed in a crash in Oceanside Friday night, two days before his 18th birthday, authorities said.
Michael Victor Pyper was driving west on Lake Boulevard about 10:25 p.m. at a high speed when he lost control. The compact car struck several trees that lined the road and rolled over. Pyper was thrown from the car and died at the scene, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
Pyper was a football player for the Rancho Buena Vista football team last year and was leaving the Longhorns’ Friday night game when the crash occurred.
