October 1, 2009  - A 40-year-old man riding a motorcycle was seriously hurt in University City this morning after colliding with a car near University Towne Centre.

Police said the motorcyclist was riding south on Towne Centre approaching Executive Drive just after 11 a.m. when he was struck by a Mercedes whose driver was making a left turn in the opposite direction.

The driver of the car did not yield to the motorcyclist, police said. The rider was thrown off the motorcycle and suffered a broken upper leg and upper arm. He was taken to a hospital.
