An 11 year-old Poway boy suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries when a vehicle struck him as he rode his bicycle across the street Sunday evening. The vehicle was headed west on Edgemoor Street when it struck the boy at Brighton Avenue. The child, who failed to stop before crossing the street, was taken to Rady Children’s Hospital. The boy was not wearing a helmet or protective gear.
