Last Thursday, May 23, 2013 a woman in her 60s whose name was not released, was rushed to the hospital with two broken legs after being hit by a car that was part of a police chase. Reports said that the driver of the car, a Jasmine Ford, had stolen the car and was being chased by police when she lost control of the car, veered off the road and hit this innocent pedestrian as she was walking down the road. A 52-year-old man was killed in an early morning accident in East San Diego County. According to authorities, the accident occurred before 6 a.m. when a 2004 Honda Accord crashed into the back of a semi-truck on the eastbound side of Interstate 8 near Alpine. The man, who was from El Cajon, reportedly died on impact. A bicyclist was killed when he was hit by a bus in Laguna Hills on Saturday. According to authorities, the accident occurred around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Paseo de Valencia and Alicia Parkway. Authorities have identified the pedestrian who died Tuesday in an accident in National City. Anita De Gusman Torres, 62, of National City, was killed early Tuesday after being hit by a Honda sedan as she walked in a crosswalk. Authorities say the accident occurred around 6 a.m. on 8th Street when the woman crossed the street on a green light. The driver of the Honda, a 25-year-old Navy sailor, reportedly didn’t see the woman until it was too late. Coroner officials have identified the passenger who was killed in a fiery crash involving a Jeep. Bryan Ferguson, 21, of Dana Point, was killed when the Jeep he was riding in crashed and rolled over in San Juan Capistrano. According to witnesses, the Jeep sped through a red light and sideswiped another car before crashing. 11 Year Old Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle

An 11-year-old boy was injured Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle while he was riding his bicycle. The incident occurred near the corner of 10th and Main streets in Ramona. The boy reportedly rode directly into the path of a 1982 Ford pickup truck. The truck struck the boy and he was thrown off of his bicycle landing on the vehicle’s hood. The boy suffered major injuries including a possible broken arm and leg.

62 Year Old Man Injured in Motorcycle Accident

A 62 year-old man riding a motorcycle on the 5300 block of Soledad Mountain Road lost control and crashed Wednesday evening. He suffered an open fracture on his right ankle and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. No other vehicles were involved in the incident. The accident is being investigated.

Three Year Old Dies After Choking on Pushpin

A 3-year-old boy has died after choking on a push-pin at an Oceanside preschool. According to the San Diego County Medical Examiners Office, Tyler Howell of Oceanside died Monday afternoon from accidental asphyxiation. His teacher at Montessori School said the boy gasped and grabbed his neck. He became unresponsive and paramedics were unable to revive him. He died at a hospital.

Authorities have released the name of a 56-year-old San Diego resident killed in a motorcycle accident in Poway. Leon Livingston was riding south on SR-67 shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday when he rear-ended a vehicle that made an abrupt stop directly in front of him near Scripps Poway Parkway. Though he was wearing a helmet, Livingston suffered critical injuries. Six Year Old Girl Hit by Boat Near Fiesta Island

Six-year-old, Neve Walker, was injured Saturday after being struck by a motorboat while riding on an inner tube. She and her 10-year-old brother were being towed by a SeaDoo going about 15 mph when the boat approached from behind and veered directly into the path of the children on the inner tube. Neve was knocked off the inner tube and run over by the boat. Her brother was not injured. She suffered fractured ribs, a partially collapsed lung and cuts and bruises in the incident.
