September 11, 2009 – A Caltrans employee and a county probation worker were seriously injured yesterday when they were struck by a car on the shoulder of northbound I-15 north of SR-94, authorities said. The female Caltrans employee and male probationer were hit by a white 1992 Infiniti J30 driven by a 50-year-old San Diego woman, who suffered minor injuries, said California Highway Patrol Officer Brad Baehr. September 10. 2009– A 13-year-old girl and her 37-year-old mother are hospitalized Thursday after they were struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in Talmadge, police said. The two were crossing El Cajon Boulevard at Highland Avenue when they were hit around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday by a vehicle headed westbound on Highland, said San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros. San Bernardino skateboarder hit, killed by car

September 10, 2009 – Ricardo Marin, a 14-year-old skateboarder from Rialto, died last night after being hit by a car, Rialto police and San Bernardino County coroner’s officials say. Ricardo was struck about 8 p.m. by a 1994 Toyota that was traveling southbound along Cedar Avenue north of Rialto Avenue, coroner’s officials said in a written statement. September 10, 2009 – A 15-year-old boy who ran into traffic in Rancho Penasquitos was struck by a vehicle and injured, police said. The teen was struck shortly before 7:15 a.m. while he was attempting to run across the 13500 block of Carmel Mountain Road, near Defreitas Avenue, according to San Diego police Officer Brad Ruff. Five injured in crash on I-8 near Alpine

Five people were injured Tuesday, September 8, 2009, when a tire tread separated on the Ford Explorer they were traveling in, causing the SUV to roll over several times on Interstate 8 near Alpine, according to the California Highway Patrol. Volvo Recall – Fuel Pump

On  August 28, 2009, Volvo announced the recall of their Model Year 2008-2010 S80, Model Year 2009-2010 XC70, and Model Year 2010 XC60, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Under certain conditions, the software within the central electronic module (CEM) may not send a signal to the fuel pump electronic module (PEM). This missing signal to the PEM inhibits the start of the fuel pump. 12-year old Riverside boy hit by truck

September 4, 2009 – A 12-year-old boy suffered internal injuries and fractures to both thighs yesterday when he was hit by a full-size Chevy truck while crossing a street in Yucaipa on his way to school, according to fire officials. Motorcyclist killed in University Heights

September 4, 2009 – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle near the intersection of Arizona and Meade streets yesterday evening around 6:25 p.m. in University Heights, according to San Diego police.
