Toyo Tires Recalled Due to Possibility of Detached Tread

Hankook Tire America Corp. (HTAC) has announced a recall of its size p265/70r17s rh03 tires, sold as replacement tires for passenger vehicles. Toyota Motor Corporation has agreed to expand its late 2009 recall by recalling 2.2 million more vehicles.  Most of these recalls are to stop mats from jamming the pedals.  This recall comes about after months of discussions with U.S. regulators about potential risks to motorists. Ford Motor Company has announced a recall of certain 2011 model trucks manufactured from October 25, 2010 to November 20, 2010.  According to Ford’s report to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, ”these vehicles were inspected using integrated diagnostic system (IDS) that had a custom software routine to read the suspect body control module (BCM) serial number. Based on the serial number the BCM was either not affected or replaced. Bridgestone America has announced a recall of certain Bridgestone R192 truck and bus tires, size 275/70R22.5.  About 4,097 units are affected by the recall.  The tires were produced between May 3, 2009 and June 26, 2010.  The tires feature a sidewall wear indicator that is used by technicians to monitor sidewall wear.  The specified depth of the subject tire’s indicator may result in exposed ply cord.  Over time, this can result in the deterioration of the ply cord causing air loss.  Air loss in the tire will increase the risk of a crash.  If you or a loved one has …. » Read more »
