March 8, 2010 – One person was killed and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash near the Barona Resort & Casino Sunday, the California Highway Patrol said. The collision between a pickup truck and minivan happened around 12:20 p.m. on Wildcat Canyon Road near Muth Valley Road, just south of the Barona Indian Reservation, according to the California Highway Patrol. Both directions of Wildcat Canyon Road were closed, the CHP reported. March 8, 2010 – The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified two people who were killed in Saturday night’s deadly car accident that ended in a canal near Shafter. The accident happened shortly after 6 p.m., when, according to the California Highway Patrol, a PT Cruiser going south on Zerker Road ran the stop sign at Lerdo Highway broad-siding an Isuzu Rodeo SUV, sending it into the nearby canal.
