December 3, 2009 –A Fresno man and four teens are facing murder charges in connection with the fatal beating last month of an apartment complex security guard. Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer announced Wednesday that 22-year-old Tony Sayachack was arrested Saturday, while four male juveniles, between the ages of 15 and 17, were arrested Tuesday. All five were booked on suspicion of murder. December 1, 2009 – New cars and trucks would be required to have larger and stronger side air bags to prevent motorists from being tossed out of vehicles during rollover crashes, the government proposed Tuesday. The plan is the latest attempt by the government to address deadly rollover crashes. November 30, 2009 – A 45-year-old woman crossing a street outside of the crosswalk was struck and killed Wednesday evening, police said. November 30, 2009 – A 52-year-old Palm Springs motorist was jailed this weekend after his Mercedes slammed into a man who was pushing a disabled SUV along a Palm Springs street, according to police. November 24, 2009 – A vehicle driven by a DUI suspect struck and killed a 36-year-old woman strolling alongside on a North County street Monday, authorities reported. November 23, 2009 – A 35-year-old woman walking on a street was hit and killed by a pickup truck that went off a roadway, hit her, before eventually crashing into a house, authorities said Sunday.
