13 injured in Collision caused by Wrong-Way Driver Near Escondido, CA

Monday afternoon in an area near Escondido, CA a man who has been identified as Rick Allen Walker, resident of Canyon County, was arrested after endangering the lives of multiple individuals by driving the wrong way on the 14 freeway.

News reports said that two California Highway Patrol officers that had been present on the scene before the accidenthappened to look into an unrelated collision that took place just moments before. The police report said that at that time, the two CHP officers noticed a white truck driving at high speeds the wrong direction down the freeway. According to the reports Walker drove head on into another vehicle and caused a collision that involved nine different vehicles.

Due to his recklessness 13 people had been injured, three of which were critically injured and flown to Antelope Valley Hospital. The three individuals who were critically injured had been later identified as Fernando Lopez, who sustained a compound fracture to his left arm, David Becker and Maryann Looram who both sustained broken backs.

According to the police reports Walker was under suspicion of driving under the influence of methamphetamine and was arrested after being taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Bus Driver Killed in Crash in Downtown Los Angeles

In the early hours of the morning on Wednesday June 12, 2013 a fatal accident took the life of a Los Angeles Bust Driver. The accident happened in downtown Los Angeles a involved a MTA bus and a tow truck. According to reports the tow truck had sped through a red light as the bus driver was making a turn and hit the bus head on.

Both drivers had to be rescued from their vehicles. The bus driver who was identified as 47 year old Olivia Gamboa was rushed to the hospital where she later died from the injuries sustained. There were no other passengers on the bus at the time of the accident. The driver of the truck, only identified as a 30 year old man was also rushed to the hospital where he was said to be in serious condition.

As a result of the collision, the tow truck had also run into a nearby 7-Eleven leaving a store employee with minor injuries.

At midnight in Anaheim,CA on June 12, 2013 and bicyclist was hit by a car . The driver of the car fled the scene and is still at large. Police reports indicated that victim, who was not publicly identified, sustained serious head trauma. The teenager was rushed to UC Irvine Medical Center, in critical condition.

In Los Angeles last week a medical doctor, Steve Leong aged 58 was arrested for sexually assaulting four different women who were patients of his. According to news reports, Leong was charged with six misdemeanor counts of false imprisonment, four misdemeanors counts of sexual battery and five misdemeanor counts of battery.

The Women who were involved reported the incidents to the medical officials who reported it to the proper authorities. On Sunday, June 9, 2013 in the early hours of the morning, a crash had been reported on Wildcat Canyon Road in Lakeside, CA. According to the reports the vehicles were traveling at high speeds just before impact. There were two vehicles that were involved in the accident.

Toyota Recalling Hybrids Due to Break Pedal Defect

Last week on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 Toyota Automakers announced that they would be recalling almost 300,000 Prius and Lexus Hybrid vehicles that were prduced between March and October of 2009.

Local Marketplace Selling Food Items Past Expiration Date.

Last week, a news report came out about a local market that had been selling expired foods.
