March 1, 2010 – A pedestrian suffered severe injuries last night when he was struck by two vehicles, including a sheriff’s patrol car, in the High Desert city of Apple Valley, according San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials. The victim was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton following the 8 p.m. accident Sunday along Highway 18 near Kiowa Road. The pedestrian was carrying no identification, investigators said. His condition is not available. December 3, 2009 –A 46-year-old San Bernardino man was struck and killed by a car last night while crossing a busy street in that city, according to San Bernardino County coroner’s officials. Rafael Garcia died at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center about a half hour after the 7:59 p.m. accident Wednesday at Mill Street and Rancho Avenue. A 2001 Toyota Camry hit Garcia as he was walking across Mill Street.
