September 23, 2009 – A Florida man in San Diego on business died in a head-on collision between two pickup trucks on a rural road near Ramona, authorities said. The accident occurred about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, when a northbound 2004 Chevrolet 2500 drifted over a solid double yellow line on Wildcat Canyon Road in the Barona Mesa area, according to the California Highway Patrol. The truck crashed into an oncoming 1988 Chevrolet 1500, sending it off the roadway and down a dirt embankment, killing the unrestrained 36-year-old man behind the wheel, CHP public affairs Officer Brian Pennings said.
